SUMMARY:Animal Rights Film Screening & Activist Gathering
DESCRIPTION:Join Animal Rights Rochester and fellow local advocates for a screening of The Animal People\, followed by a discussion about strengthening the animal rights movement in our community. \nThe Animal People tells the story of six activists prosecuted for their involvement in the Stop Huntingdon Animal Cruelty (SHAC) campaign\, an international movement against animal experimentation. \nFollowing the film\, we’ll explore lessons from SHAC and how they can inform our ongoing campaign to free the animals at Marshall BioResources. We’ll also discuss other local animal rights efforts\, opportunities for collaboration\, and ways to support one another in taking action for animals. \nWhether you’re an experienced activist or looking to get involved\, all are welcome! \nSunday\, November 15\, 2026 | 3:30 PM\nBrighton Town Park Lodge\n777 Westfall Rd.\, Rochester\, NY 14620 \nEarlier in the day: The Rochester Area Vegan Society will host a presentation on Blue Zones at 1 PM\, followed by a vegan potluck at 2 PM.
