Free the Dogs Rally at Marshall BioResources

Join us at Marshall BioResources (Marshall Farms on maps) on Friday, June 26 and Saturday, June 27 for a two-day protest, vigil, and community action event calling for an end to animal testing and the breeding of animals for experimentation.
Marshall BioResources (MBR) is the largest breeder of animals used in experimentation in the United States, housing tens of thousands of animals, including over 20,000 beagles. MBR supplies animals to pharmaceutical companies, universities, government agencies, and contract research organizations.
Organizers emphasize that the event is peaceful, nonpartisan, and open to anyone who believes animals are not ours to experiment on. The gathering will serve both as a protest against animal testing and as a memorial for the countless animals that have suffered in research facilities. Participants are encouraged to wear all black.
Schedule
Friday
8AM–5PM: Protest all day
5PM–8:30PM: Protest continues, optional break to go grab dinner, etc. for those joining the protest during the day and evening vigil.
8:30PM–11PM: Candlelight vigil
Saturday
We will protest from 8AM to 5PM, and will be joined by Aaron Gies, New York State democratic nominee for NY-23 congressional district, at 12PM.
**Please no pets at the protest!
**Remember to bring your reusable water bottle. We will have big jugs for refills, and there are also some nearby establishments where you can fill up and use the bathroom.
