ARAUNY tabled on 3/30/08 for “Petition Sunday”, along with seven other various social justice groups at 1st Unitarian. We had a Petition, calling for a local effort to “BAN the BULLHOOK” in Rochester NY. We also provided two styles of prewritten letters (w/envelopes signers addressed individually) on the same subject. ARA provided stamps. We mailed these letters to the City School District of Rochester (to dissuade them from accepting free tickets to take school children to circuses with animals), and mailed them to the Rochester City Council, where the Petition will eventually be presented, as they could eventually change legislation to locally Ban the Bullhook.
