Longtime ARRoc member Meg Hurley reads from her new book The Dog Who Ate the Vegetable Garden & Helped Save the Planet. Not a children’s book, it connects eating animals and humans’ treatment of them with environmental destruction, human illness, racism, sexism and other isms/phobias. Sweet, funny, sad, maddening, it’s a cross-genre work narrated by a real vegan dog that mixes wit, science, memoir, and fiction.
7 pm at Brighton Town Park, free. Please see Rochester Area Vegan Society for details.
