Tabling means setting up a table of animal rights literature and talking to people. Tina tabled for ARRoc at three recent college events:
- She tabled for several hours at the University of Rochester on April 12th, and spoke to dozens of students. Thanks to their SAVVY student vegan club for running the Meatout event and inviting us!
- She tabled for an hour at RIT on April 18th, at the invitation of their Vegan Club, which was showing Cowspiracy and offering free vegan pizza. Their new club is vibrant and growing! Their environmental club SEAL also displayed information.
- She tabled at Nazareth College’s first Earth Day Festival on the 22nd. This was an awesome event outside with probably 20 other tablers and steady traffic of attendees. Many students were surprised to learn about livestock’s impact on the environment and disempowered people. There was lots of free food including Impossible Burgers and vegan cookies!
Thanks for the invitations!
If you are aware of events such as environment or health at your workplace or other location, which allow tabling by nonprofits, please ask them to invite us and RAVS.
