Darren and Tina brought ARRoc Saturday to Rocworthy, an environmental street fair on South Avenue in front of Abundance Co-op.
It was pretty rainy, and we put ARRoc’s tent’s waterproofness to the test with mixed results. Once we installed a second ceiling, we stayed pretty dry.
Despite the weather, attendance was good and we had many good conversations. Darren brought a TV and ran footage of cow-calf separation, an integral part of dairy production, and that started a lot of good conversations. He put the bike banners out in front, too, so those who didn’t stop in would still get some advocacy. Our tent was next to RAVS and we had a fun day advocating for animals. Thanks to Darren for rigging up our new tent banner with our name to attach to our canopy – it looks great! Thanks to Daryl and Dave D for helping out with setup and cleanup.
