ARRoc was formed as “Animal Rights Advocates of Upstate, NY” (ARAUNY) by a small group of upstanders in 1989! Another group was busy forming the “Rochester Area Vegetarian Society” that same year (now the Rochester Area Vegan Society). New names, same great organizations. We’re both 30!
